Data-driven technology with a human touch
Patients supported by Lumata’s platform miss an average of 30% fewer clinic appointments.
Our team of virtual Certified Ophthalmic Assistants (COAs) help your patients manage their chronic condition throughout their care journey—improving the overall efficiency of your clinic.
Intelligent Engagement framework supported by the National Eye Institute and dozens of ophthalmologists
Lumata Health has been helping payers and health systems manage chronic eye diseases since 2017, including national insurance payers and several of the largest tribal health systems in the country. In 2021, we expanded our service directly to ophthalmology practices. Current partners include top 10 academic ophthalmology practices and private practices of all sizes and specialities across the US. Lumata’s programs are designed with input from our team of 35 practicing ophthalmologists serving as advisors and directors.
Our highly-trained clinical staff are empowered with data-driven insights from over 500,000 unique patient records, custom technology, and behavioral science tools that optimize our virtual eye care services. These differentiators, collectively referred to as our “Intelligent Engagement” framework, have been the focus of over $2M in NIH funding over the last 3 years. Our clinical and scientific team is composed of faculty at Duke University, North Carolina State University, the University of Miami, and the University of Oklahoma.
