Lumata was founded by Dr. Steve Fransen, a practicing retina specialist with over 30 years of experience, with a mission to eliminate preventable blindness by ensuring that every patient receives the care they need.
Lumata was built by leaders in ophthalmology, biomedical engineering, data science and healthcare services. Dr. Fransen’s clinical expertise is bolstered by a team of 35 retina glaucoma, cornea, and comprehensive ophthalmologists serving as our Clinical Advisory Board.
