Matt Wills
Co-Founder and President
Matt’s expertise building, scaling, and investing in tech-enabled healthcare service companies led him to join Lumata's founding team in 2019.
Before Lumata, Matt co-founded and led a specialty infusion pharmacy and played a vital role in facilitating its acquisition by a nationwide pharmacy leader.
Matt started his career in investment banking and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder. He guides Lumata's finances, operations, marketing, and strategic partnerships to bring intelligent eye care to even more patients in 2024 and beyond.

Landon Grace
Chief Executive Officer
Landon Grace has devoted the last 15 years to tackling some of the most challenging problems in engineering and healthcare on behalf of organizations like NASA, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health.
Landon has directed more than $5M in scientific research in his concurrent roles at Lumata and as a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at North Carolina State University.
Landon is passionate about leveraging engineering tools and concepts to solve problems that directly impact patients and providers. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he led a team of engineers to tackle critical health system supply chain issues through innovations in manufacturing and tool adaptation.
He brings the same resourcefulness and spirit of innovation to Lumata, where he shepherds our company's growth and advances our mission to stop preventable blindness through data science, research and development, and business strategy and development.

Stephen Fransen, MD
Chairman and Co-Founder
Meet our founder: Stephen Fransen, MD is a retinal specialist and entrepreneur with 30+ years of experience caring for patients and building value-based solutions to improve eye care at a population level.
As a physician, Dr. Fransen grew frustrated seeing patients come to him after losing their vision to highly treatable conditions.
This ultimately led him to build Retinal Care (now Lumata Health), to support eye care practices and their patients throughout the chronic care journey.
Dana Boyd
Chief of Staff
Dana has spent the last 12 years scaling companies alongside founders and leading operations teams in growth stage SaaS businesses. She has experience leading through mergers and acquisitions at multiple companies.
Dana's business experience combined with her education in social work give her a unique vantage point when it comes to organizational leadership, development, and communication. She is passionate about leading mission-driven organizations and the people that power them.
Dana lives in Colorado with her husband and two young sons.

Nastran Andersen is a dynamic executive with nearly 30 years of experience driving revenue growth in the healthcare industry. She has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams across sales, marketing, and client success, fostering collaboration to achieve sustainable business expansion.
Nastran has worked with Fortune 10 and Fortune 500 companies, private equity-backed firms, as well as small to mid-sized organizations across a range of markets including provider organizations, health plans, post-acute, and emerging areas such as new care models and age tech. She also serves on the boards for both AgeTech Atlanta and ArtLifting.

Chris Jones
VP of Sales
Chris has over 20 years of experience as a senior sales leader in the healthcare technology industry. Prior to joining Lumata Health, Chris spent most of his career with the leading laboratory information systems provider in the market. He was instrumental in helping build and lead the company’s sales team, from its very early stages through the company's successful exit to private equity.

Andrew Foley
VP of Finance
Andrew is a dedicated leader adept at bridging the business development, operations, and finance functions within high-growth healthcare organizations. He brings experience from several value-based care startups, where he helped them scale and build robust finance functions. Andrew began his career in valuation and is a CFA charterholder and CPA.
Andrew is based in Nashville, Tennessee, where he initially moved to teach high school math with Teach for America. He holds a BS from The University of Alabama and MAcc from Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys golf, board games, and spending time with his wife and son. He also serves as treasurer and board member for AgeWell, a non-profit dedicated to empowering the aging population of Middle Tennessee. Andrew is enthusiastic about the opportunities at Lumata to enhance eye care for patients nationwide.

Cole Henson is an experienced marketing leader with more than 15 years of success in digital strategy, brand development, and growth marketing across healthcare, media, and technology sectors.
At Lumata Health, he leads marketing strategy, communications, and brand development—focused on increasing awareness, building trust, and driving engagement among patients, providers, and partners. Cole brings deep expertise in digital transformation, content development, and campaign optimization, and is passionate about connecting people to care through clear, compelling communication.
Cole values collaboration, clarity, and thoughtful storytelling. He lives in Northlake, Texas, with his wife and two young children.

Deborah Brunson
VP of Human Resources
Deborah Brunson is a seasoned HR executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership in both private and nonprofit sectors.
At Lumata Health, she oversees human resources strategy, talent development, and compliance. Her expertise includes organizational change management, payroll systems, employee engagement programs, and diversity initiatives. Known for aligning HR operations with corporate culture and driving efficiency, Deborah has led transformative projects that significantly improved onboarding, benefits management, and company culture at previous organizations.
She brings a strong track record in performance management, legal compliance, and cost-saving strategies, reinforcing Lumata’s mission to deliver impactful, people-centered eye care.
